How to play YU-GI-OH! Duel Links?

Duel Links is not a standard YU-GI-OH game! It has been simplified for everyone to use regardless of their knowledge of the world of YU-GI-OH!

First, there are only three monster zones, three spell / trap zones, a graveyard, an extra deck area (only 5 monsters can be added), a field spell zone, and your deck.

The cards can be removed from the game. There is no Second Stand By Phase, so you have to set your spell and catch cards. Once you are done with your Battle Phase you can end your turn. You only have 4000 life points.

What is a deck and how to access it?

The deck is where you store the cards with which you will play. At the beginning of the game, for each character you will be given 20 cards and then you can modify them and add more.

You can edit and build your deck by accessing the Deck Editor screen. You can get there by the Letter Study or by clicking on the icon of your character at the bottom right and clicking on the icon in the form of a card box at the top. The minimum cards that can be in the deck are 20 cards (up to 30). In contrast the maximum number of cards in your extra deck may be 5 cards of fusion or ritual monsters.

How to get letters in YU-GI-OH! Duel Links?

You can get new cards by dueling NPCs and Legendary Duelists. Another way is by buying letters from Cambiacarta. Finally you can use your gems and try your luck at the card packs in the Store. Gems are obtained in the duels, completing missions, level up and daily log bonuses.

How to create a good deck?

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links takes you back to the beginning of the duel, so there are almost no cards from the second generation and beyond. You will not see any super goal cards like Syncros or XYZs. The key to victory is to just rely on your cards and do not let your opponent play higher attack monsters.

The cards as Reinforcements serve to increase your attack and also combine to equip spell cards as they are very good especially when fighting opponents of AI.

When fighting opponents online, you may want to add spell cards such as Tornado and Exorcism that destroy traps and magic cards. AI opponents are very easy at first because they usually only summon normal weak monsters in attack mode. Simply click on the Automatic option above and prepare a sandwich in the meantime.
